Presented by Trish Abbey, In-Home Counseling
Why worry? Older adults can have many reasons to be anxious, such as the economy, housing instability, family conflict, illness, separation or loss of loved ones, chronic pain, and more. Anxiety is a treatable disorder when it is recognized, diagnosed, and treated with research-based treatment plans. Trish will be discussing the different types of anxiety disorders, identifying symptoms and presentation of anxiety disorders in older adults, co-morbid diagnoses and how they can impact anxiety, treatment options for anxious clients, and how best to work and connect with someone who may be suffering from an anxiety disorder.
