Cultural Considerations in End of Life Care - CEU Event

Please join us as Ellen Hoekstra, RN CHPN, with Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., presents this one-hour program that will discuss the physical and psychological needs of the multicultural patient during the dying process. The learner will have an enhanced understanding of the beliefs and rituals practiced by various cultures to assist in proving culturally competent care. Suggested care giver interventions are provided. The learner will be expected to sign in and stay for the entire program, participate in discussion, and complete a program evaluation to achieve a certificate of continuing education.

Ellen Hoekstra, RN CHPN, is a registered nurse with over 34 years of nursing experience in critical care, case management, and hospice education. In her role as
Community Educator with Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., she has had the privilege to educate thousands on a variety of topics relating to end of life care.

5:00pm - 6:00pm Presentation

1.0 CEU will be awarded to nurses, professional counselors, social workers and nursing home administrators.

A $5.00 fee payable to Elderwerks Educational Services, a 501C3 not-for-profit corporation, P.O. Box 92, Cary, IL 60013, is requested from all attendees prior to the event. An invoice will be emailed after registration to shoe paying by credit card.
