Movement as Medicine: Dance/Movement Therapy with Cognitive and Movement Disorders

Movement is a powerful tool for mental and physical well-being. Dance/movement therapy is a psychotherapy that uses movement to enhance cognition, memory, and mobility, not to mention quality of life and communication. This CEU workshop will cover what dance/movement therapy is and how it can help individuals with cognitive and movement disorders of all levels. Please join us for this enlightening program. Appetizers and refreshments will be served.

Erica Hornthal is a licensed clinical professional counselor and board-certified dance/movement therapist. As the CEO of Chicago Dance Therapy, Erica specializes in working with individuals and care partners affected by cognitive and movement disorders. She brings her expertise to nursing homes, day centers, private residences, and rehab facilities all over Chicagoland.

5-6 p.m. CEU presentation

This program will award 1.0 CEU credit to nurses, professional counselors and social workers. License number is required.
