Support Group for Adult Children Who Have Parents with a Diagnosis of Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease or Related Dementias

Tuesday 07/04/2017 07:00 PM - 08:30 PM
CJE SeniorLife Weinberg Community for Senior Living; Gidwitz Assisted Living
1551 Lake Cook Rd., Deerfield, IL 60015
This support group meets the first Tuesday of each month.

Has your parent been diagnosed with a form of dementia at the age of 75 or younger? This free support group is for adult children who have parents with a diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease or related dementias. Watching your parent age can be difficult, but learning to provide support to a parent with a cognitive impairment creates a new parent/child dynamic, especially for those who are in “the sandwich generation.” Led By Marci Balonick, M.S.W., L.C.S.W. and Emily Mysel, M.S.W., L.C.S.W. at Weinberg Community, 1551 Lake Cook Road, Deerfield, IL 60015. For more information, contact Emily Mysel at 847.236.7863 or emily.mysel@cje.net.
