CogSMART - Cognitive Skills and Rehabilitation Group

This support group meets each Monday

A Cognitive skills training group appropriate for people who have experienced any of the following:
*Traumatic Brain Injury
*Brain Infection
*Brain Surgery

This evidence-based group, developed and tested by the Portland VA Medical Center and the University of California at San Diego, provides skills that help people with brain injuries adapt and improve daily functioning. Skill training includes: memory, attention, planning, and organizing as well as self-care and stress-coping.

Group lasts for 10 weeks
$25.00 one-time materials fee for workbook

Early-Stage Dementia Care Support Group

This group is held each Monday.

This group provides care and support to people caring closely for a person in the early stages of dementia.

Caring for a person with dementia like Alzheimer's disease can be frightening and lonely. Evidence shows that if families receive support and education in the early stages, disease outcomes and associated family stress can be greatly reduced. you don't have to do it alone.
