Healthy Steps in Motion: 8-Week Series

Get moving with friends! Healthy Steps in Motion is a free group exercise program (ideal for any fitness level) taught in eight 1-hour sessions designed to reduce the risk of falling by building strength, flexibility and balance. Each session includes a brief educational component, warm-up, balance and strength exercises, and cool down/stretching. Classes will be held on Mondays, June 4 through July 23 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Niles Government Center, 5255 Main St, Skokie 60077. This group is held each Monday.

This group provides care and support to people caring closely for a person in the early stages of dementia.

Caring for a person with dementia like Alzheimer's disease can be frightening and lonely. Evidence shows that if families receive support and education in the early stages, disease outcomes and associated family stress can be greatly reduced. you don't have to do it alone.
