The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership and operational oversight and/or coordination for assigned departments. Works with the Marketing and Sales team to assist in meeting Federal, State and local government regulations, as well as the standards and guidelines of Hearthstone Communities. This position supports the Marketing and Sales Department – Resident Support Services to ensure that Hearthstone Communities develop and execute on the mission, vision and core values while striving to continually improve in the Resident Support Services areas of Reception, Environmental Services and Dining Services. Develops and supports general processes and programs that ensure and improve resident satisfaction in order to make services a highlight of our residents’ experiences of daily living and a strategic Hearthstone Communities strength.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), college and/or secretarial training program desired; plus, three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

RN/LPN: Various shifts and hours available in all nursing units. Providing direct nursing care to residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards guidelines and regulations to provide the highest degree of quality care. Illinois RN/LPN License required.

CNA- Full Time & Part Time: Various shifts and hours available in all nursing units. Providing residents with daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by supervisors. Current C.N.A. certification required.

MDS Coordinator: Coordinate the development and completion of the resident assessment (MDS) in accordance with state requirements and the policies and goals of WCLS dba Hearthstone Communities. Responsible for employee testing and infection control tracking. Has supervisory on-call duties Illinois license to practice as a Registered Nurse, MDS/ Care planning experience and strong leadership skills required.

Cook & Prep Cook– Full Time & Part Time: Prepare meals for residents, employees and visitors, and serve in an attractive manner in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facility. Assist with supervision of Food Service workers, assist with inventory control.

Retirement Sales Counselor

Job Description 

Main Function: To assist the Sales and Marketing Director to exceed budgeted occupancy using sales and marketing strategies which encourage applications and move-ins to the retirement community.

Reports to: Director of Sales and Marketing-campus level

Supervises: None

Essential Functions:

Responding to inquires:

  • The primary function of this position is to contact via telephone, potential residents identified in the existing lead bank to generate appointments and sales. (see goals)
  • Set initial and subsequent appointments with potential residents to secure a 10% deposit and signed contract (see goals)
  • Work with sales and marketing staff to maintain daily census or increase the average daily census beyond budgeted levels (see goals).
  • Make persuasive presentations that encourage prospective residents to make the decision to move to the community.
  • Follow established procedures for inquiries/lead sharing, admissions, and assignment of residences.
  • Respond in a timely and effective way to all inquiries for information, tours and residency.
  • Follow-up with prospects as often as necessary to facilitate a decision to move-in.
  • Assist when needed for group presentations.
  • Become familiar with local competition.

Evaluate prospects:

  • Collect Financial Medical forms and review prospects with Director for appropriate placement
  • Work closely with Director to verify evaluation was complete
  • Schedule appointments for presentations and evaluations
  • If prospective resident timeframe is greater than 6 months, or choice of residence is not available, secure waiting list deposit for the future.

Facilitate necessary paperwork and move-in procedure:

  • Assist qualified applicants with contract signing
  • Collect necessary pre-residency paperwork from prospective residents to facilitate closing and move-in.
  • Set closing dates with Director and Campus Facilities Management
  • Assist future residents with the transition to the community as necessary
  • Follow-up with new resident to secure referrals
  • Facilitate move-ins and all communications necessary during the moving process with future residents and staff
  • Assist Director in evaluating marketing and sales procedures

Maintain and update records and report results:

  • Maintain REP’s database with regard to basic information as well as ongoing communications with prospects
  • Report all sales and marketing activities on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Create, update and maintain accurate files on all applicants and future residents
  • Assist Director to monitor and report effectiveness of corporate marketing strategies

Misc:

  • Assist with the planning and execution of events that introduce prospective residents to community lifestyle
  • Work with Director to establish departmental needs or resources
  • Assist Director in completing an annual competitive analysis and update of the marketing plan.
  • Assist staff in monitoring and maintaining adequate supply of brochures and application forms etc
  • Collaborate with Director and Assistant in the development of all promotional materials
  • Stay current with regard to industry education and developments

Education:

Bachelor’s degree with focus in marketing, communications or related field of study preferred.

Experience:

Five or more years of sales experience. Experience in senior’s housing a plus

Qualifications:

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be organized and goal oriented. Patience and a genuine desire to problem solve a plus. Motivated to complete the sale and help future resident successfully move-in.

Interacts with:

Prospective residents and family members, staff, board members and the general public.
