Pamela Payne

Pamela Payne - Assisted Living Services
Pamela started Elderwerks of Connecticut as a Legacy to her Father, and for her Confirmation kids at St. Luke’s in Darien, who she’s urged to “find their purpose and make a difference in this world”.

Her father, who was the Head of Finance, Director of Real Estate and acting Dean of the School of Business at The University of Connecticut “is a brilliant and kind man who was diagnosed a few years ago with Dementia”. It was an emotional and logistical nightmare for her and her parents who live in Florida. After several wrong moves and his near death a few times, she resigned herself to making sure the chaos doesn’t happen to others.

“I remember my father saying that the best results he would get from his MBA students is when they worked collectively on a project.”

Pamela’s goal in partnering with Elderwerks is to garner the knowledge the team at Elderwerks has acquired over the past 10 years and use it to help build a beautiful support system for Connecticut and New York families. “Helping seniors through the maze of senior housing is very rewarding”.

Pamela is a licensed Real Estate Agent in Connecticut with Houlihan Lawrence and holds the Seniors Real Estate Designation (SRES). The SRES Realtors are uniquely qualified to assist seniors in housing sales and purchases and can direct them to all of the resources and professionals they need to make a smooth transition locally or nationally. She also serves on the Board of At Home in Darien which is a thriving organization dedicated to helping seniors Age in their own homes comfortably.

As an active member of her community, Pamela has always been passionate about making a

difference in whatever she does, from expanding the field hockey program to teaching confirmation and fundraising for many causes she puts her heart and soul into whatever she does.

Virginia Jamison

Virginia Jamison - Assisted Living Services

Community Resource Consultant
Virginia "Ginny" Jamison grew up in Richmond, Virginia, and has raised her family in Larchmont, NY, and in Darien, CT. She enjoys helping people and is always available to anyone in need. Virginia joins Elderwerks CT after working with a home healthcare agency in Greenwich, CT., where she furthered her deep understanding of the needs of seniors, assisting seniors and their families with home care assistance and transitions from the hospital or rehabilitation -- back to home or community living.

Over the years, Virginia has worked as a Junior League volunteer at the Enclave at The Port Chester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in NY where she assisted seniors with a wide range of living skills. Recently, she has been spending time as a "Friendly Visitor" with a resident at Maplewood Darien through At Home in Darien. Ginny’s many experiences have been wonderful ways to spend time connecting and bonding with seniors.

One of Ginny’s most rewarding moments in past years at work was assisting an unemployed senior in search of work. He had suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in an accident and was unable to secure work for a long period of time. Ginny worked tirelessly with him to secure employment to assist his needs and his future and that of his ailing father. Nothing is more rewarding than coming to the assistance of someone in need and to see the smile of someone who benefits from that help!

In recent years, Ginny attended The Institute of Allied Medical Professions in Stamford, CT, where she studied Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She performed her externship at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and then worked at a doctor’s office in Fairfield, CT, working often with senior patients.

In her spare time, Ginny enjoys watching sporting events her sons participate in -- such as football, swimming, tennis and lacrosse. She cherishes spending time with friends and family. She also loves taking a spin and barre classes and working out to stay healthy. Whenever possible, she loves to travel to new places so please let her know when you find a place you love!
